Powerful Choices
Do you want to learn more about yourself and increase pride in your identity? Do you want to celebrate your peers and better understand how to navigate the world around you?
Come build community with other young people and explore your own identity and values in a safe, fun, and supportive environment!
Powerful Choices is our 8 week in-school program that happens in both the fall and spring. We meet twice a week with 6th-8th grade Black, Indigenous and other people of color girls and gender expansive youth exploring important topics like healthy relationships, identity, having pride in your own ethnicity! We also hold office hours at the school twice a week to host 1:1 support. Girls and young people work towards specific projects and present them at a celebration that recognizes each of their accomplishments, celebrates their talents, and learn how this program has made a difference.
